Job Description

Global Materials Manager role for Marietta area  $105k min to 123k max + 15% bonus program.

Our partner, a leading $500m global leader is looking to add a strategic Global Materials Manager to their Atlanta area team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (SIOP) Process for assigned portfolio.
  • Track and report KPI on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Utilize Lean Concepts and Six Sigma tools to enact Supply Chain solutions and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, New Product Development, and Finance to ensure successful new product launches.
  • Accountable for oversight of manufacturing, inventory management, and distribution operations to ensure customer service goals are achieved.
  • Leverage Advance Planning and ERP technologies to provide full WIP and product visibility through the supply chain.
  • Lead and mentor a world-class team of Supply Chain Analysts.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or related field required; Masters or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years Supply Chain and/or Operations, and a minimum of 3 years’ people management are required.
  • Inventory experience, demand planning, forecasting, supply planning and sales planning experience required.
  • At least some plant experience/experience in manufacturing environment required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Must have strong analytical, project management, and consulting skills.
  • Requires the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word); ERP/MRP APS systems experience is a plus.
